Cause of the Month
Ukraine Crisis Response for Children
The war in the Ukraine has led to the displacement of 4.3 million children – more than half of the country’s estimated 7.5 million child population as of the 24th of March 2022. This includes more than 1.8 million children who have crossed into neighbouring countries as refugees and 2.5 million who are now internally displaced inside Ukraine.
Save the Children has been operating in eastern Ukraine since 2014. Throughout the eight-year conflict, they have been delivering essential humanitarian aid to children and their families, including distributing winter kits and hygiene kits, providing cash grants to families so they can meet basic needs such as food, rent and medicines, or so they can invest in starting new businesses. Their specialists support children in having access to safe, inclusive, quality education and work with schools and community centres to help children overcome the mental and psychological impacts of their experiences of conflict and violence and increase their resilience and ability to cope with stresses in their daily lives.
MyMedia is a family business, everyone here is a parent. The war in the Ukraine troubles us deeply. This is why donating to Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Response is our cause of the month to support.
